Capcom Spotlight - Feb 4th 2025
We’re a bit of a week late and a dollar short. But I wanted to talk about the Capcom Spotlight. There’s a few games that are coming out that are going to be interesting. The one game I’m skipping is the Arcade Classics for the fighting collection that released this year as it’s coming or is already on the Xbox. So I feel as though that doesn’t need to be mentioned.
Without further ado, let’s dive in.
Capcom Fighting Fighting Collection 2
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 punches its way to the modern consoles in May. The collection features favorites like Capcom vs SNK and Capcom Fighting Evolution. You can play competitively locally or connect to the internet and play globally. If you’ve been wanting to play Capcom vs SNK this is your chance to.
Okami 2
Announced late last year, everyone’s beloved cult classic is finally getting a sequel. There’s not much of information aside from the trailer dropping and showing everyone’s beloved wolf running through a field of flowers, and helping flowers bloom. We don’t know when the game is going to come out.
Though this is going to serve as my reminder to pick up the first game in anticipation for the sequel.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Set in a world that came out of a tale of the Kojiki, you play as a warrior whose mission is to protect the Maiden from the horrific Seethe. It’s a unique blend of action and strategy, so choose your moves wisely.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
The long awaited game that I have been waiting for is finally here. That’s right, we travel back to feudal Japan fighting against Genma. Though the protagonist seems to be different than Samanouske Akechi, still we’re going on the path of the Oni.
Also available in 2025, is the remastered version of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Saving the best for last, we’ve got Monster Hunter Wilds. While the game has been up on open beta for a bit. We get new monsters on top of previous monsters from other games. They’re also doing another open beta test. There are other features like being able to switch between single and multiplayer modes. Happy hunting.
