Eternal Sonata Review

It's that time once again! That's right! It's review Friday. This week we're going to look at an older game that was a bit brazen in terms of story and character choice. We're going to take a look at Eternal Sonata which came out on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Now I saw brazen because the main character is Fredrich Chopin, a famous Polish composer who passed away at 39 of tuberculosis. It was also brazen due to them using things like war and disease as an allusion to his passing. But without further ado, let's dive in.

Story

As previously mentioned, the game is about Fredrich Chopin though more as he has a lucid dream on his death bed about an alternate world that he gets sucked into. He meets a sickly girl named Polka whose the same age as his younger sister when she passed away. He joins Polka on a journey to confront Count Waltz to stop his selling of mineral powder and are joined by various people such as Allegretto, Beat, Claves, etc.

The neat thing about the story and the cast of characters is that they're inspired by music which makes sense since in life Chopin was a famous composer. Even the locations you went to in game were based off of musical themes. The chapters of the story were also named after Chopin's famous pieces which I think were a nice touch.
