The Sinder Drama

So for the past few days there has been some drama concerning a very popular vtuber known as Sinder. Now a vtuber is someone that uses either 2d or 3d model of their own anime based character. Usually they’re based on animals. Now I don’t normally cover Vtuber stuff unless it’s major so let’s just dive in.

For those who are unaware, Sinder is a very popular vtuber, second to that of Silvervale, Bao the Whale and Shylily as she’s an independent vtuber. What that means is she isn’t associated with any company like Hololive, Nijisanji, Vshojo and others. Everything that she has done has helped her gather a large userbase.

However, recently she was exposed for not only trying to bully an artist of hers into being exclusive to her but also badmouthing several people that considered her to be a friend such as Bao the Whale and Shylily. She tried to pull a 180 and tried to apologize which really didn’t sound like an apology. She more so tried to throw her manager/boyfriend under the bus.

However, it practically put the nail in her coffin so to speak as it had ruined her career. Now there are some people who have tried to defend her. And as someone that wants to get into the vtuber sphere so to speak, I will say that is really petty. Not only did she try to control an artist who did their vtuber model and tried to get them to cancel models for their friends because said friend was a “threat” and that it was “just business” is really messed up. Not to mention getting upset because your editor is deciding to work with one of your friends.

Editors and artists are not things that you collect. They’re not toys. If they want to work on someone else’s stuff then that’s fine. It’s not a threat to you or your “business.” If anything taking on more clients would ultimately help them grow their skills and ensure that they can do different things. Or in other words it would boost their portfolio so to speak.

For Sinder to try and throw her boyfriend/manager under the bus is kind of….no it really is fucked up. That is someone that you are not only living with but also trust implictly. And to try and blame them for everything and claim that you knew nothong about it. Yeah something is not right.

But in the end, that’s the nature of narcissistic people. Constantly throwing people under the bus in order to suit their own needs.
